Welcome
To
Maple Farms Soaps, my husband Aaron and I have a
small farm near the coast in Down east Maine …
Along with our goats we have dogs ,cats ,chickens and other small critters.
I started making my soap a few years ago as Christmas Gifts for my family and friends … they fell in love with our soaps ,impressed with how "udderly" smooth their hands and skin felt after each use with no soapy residue left on skin afterwards...many of my friends suggested I make and sell the soaps as they had never had soaps like these ....
I gave this idea a lot of thought and decided that I would like to give it a try , I felt that my best bet to test public reaction to my soaps would be at Farmers Markets and Craft shows… This proved to be a wise decision, getting my product out into the market, we wholesaled our soaps to a variety of gifts shops and retail sales were heavy .
We have many repeat customers and word of mouth has helped us to increase our business. It is not our desire to get rich off of our soaps , it is our goal to maintain our small farm and enjoy our life , living it as naturally as possible in this day and age . Our goal is to share this with you by giving you the chance to use a natural product .
I have found that I enjoy "working" at craft shows and farmers markets so along with my husband who is a woodworker we take our varied crafts to several craft shows each year.

We
milk our goats by hand we then put the milk through
an old fashion hand cranked cream separator, the
thick heavy cream is put into our soaps , we use
essential oils in our soaps guaranteeing a fresh and
natural fragrance . Many of the oils are noted for
their calming and soothing scents.
The
soap bars are white, you may notice "specks" in
some of the bars , Sandalwood for instance has
specks of real sandalwood.
Blueberry as well as strawberry have a hint of the
fruits natural colors. many bars as they "age and
harden" will become a creamy brown. We cut the bars
into a convenient 6 ounce size and package them in
our country wrappings.
What a perfect "tuck in gift" for those special gift giving times.
